Yahoo Sucks.

I already switched my personal email over to Gmail (Google) since there was so much b.s. associated with Yahoo's email program. Nonetheless, I decided to give a new Yahoo i.d. a try so we could have an Overnight Lows Flickr account. They send me a welcome message, I look for the ever-elusive option to change my marketing preferences, find it, click the link, and surprise! The link doesn't freakin' work. So then I go log in to my Yahoo account & find the link under my account settings. The link doesn't work. I go to the Help FAQ thingy, find the link, the link DOESN'T WORK AGAIN.

I then send this rant to the Yahooligans:

It is really upsetting that wherever I click to update my privacy settings, whether via the welcome email, via the account settings, via the FAQ about them, and regardless of what browser I am using, and regardless of my privacy settings on said browser, the marketing preferences page refuses to load. I want to opt out of all the third party sharing I can. Can you give me a valid link, please, or do I have to delete the account to opt out?

...and am not even a little surprised when they send me a form email back that explains all the possible ways I've already tried.

ThankyouverymuchI'lldeletemyaccountnow.

Ninja kicking Yahoo Mail LogoThanks, Phadraig, for the image help :)

(Maybe Microsoft is lucky their bid didn't work out.)
